Ever since entering the music scene in 2001, Katy Perry has been taking the entertainment world by storm. Although she first got her start in gospel music, she’s pivoted since and now dominates pop and rock genres. Since making her professional debut, Perry received countless awards (including four Guinness World Records) and was featured in Forbes Magazine as one of the highest-earning female musicians of all time. As of 2016, her net worth is estimated somewhere around the $125 million mark. Not too shabby for a 31-year-old.

As mentioned earlier, Perry got her start in gospel music while still a teenager. Her parents, being born again Christians, played a large role in that. Both of them were Pentecostal pastors and raised Katy with strong religious beliefs (despite what her recent music might have you think).

Perry was set on pursuing a life in the music industry since a very early age. She completed all of her GED requirements at just 15 and started to focus on music more seriously. Perry began writing and recording songs and was eventually approached by Red Hill Records, which helped her release her debut gospel album titled Katy Hudson.

Unfortunately, the album was commercially unsuccessful, despite its critical acclaim. Having sold only 200 copies, Perry decided to shift to pop music. Shortly after the release of Katy Hudson, the label she was underwent out of business, and the 17-year-old musician was on her own.

Luckily, Perry didn’t lose motivation and continued to develop her talent. In 2004 she was introduced to Tim Devine, an A&R executive with Columbia Records. Impressed by her vocal range and comfortable stage presence, Devine quickly signed the up-and-coming Perry to the label.

This record deal didn’t work out either, and Kary was eventually dropped. That said, she was quickly picked up by Capitol Records and the rest is history. In 2008 she released her first hit single – I Kissed a Girl, which started to attract some serious attention.

In 2010 Perry released her third studio album, Teenage Dream, which featured 5 singles that would go on to reach the very top of Billboard 100. Since then, Perry has been unstoppable. She’s been making music and touring since, and her career has only been picking up steam.

Today, the entertainer lives in a lavish 1992 Hollywood Hills home. The 8850 square foot house (which was built in 1922) cost the singer more than $6.5 million, but judging from photographs of the property it’s well worth it. Aside from its prime location next to some of the world’s hottest celebs, the house is also jam packed with amenities. The property houses a large swimming pool, a guest house, and four separate garages.

Aside from the Cali mansion, Perry also owns a duplex in New York City and a modest home in LA. Combined, these properties are worth close to $7 million, but the singer hardly spends any time there.

When it comes to cars, Perry’s tastes are questionable. While she does own a classic Audi A5, her daily driver is an obnoxiously pink Smart car. The Smart has been modified quite a bit, and now sits on 14” black and pink rims. The singer also opted to have her name painted on the side of the car, just to make sure that everyone knows who’s behind the wheel.

Needless to say, Perry is living the life that only a few of us can even imagine. Aside from comfortably setting herself up and taking care of her loved ones, Perry also does a fair bit for the community. The singer is publically associated with at least two dozen charities and nonprofits.

Aside from raising awareness for several important causes, Perry has also made some significant donation over the years. In fact, during her California Dreams Tour back in 2011, the singer donated a porter of ticket sales to the Children’s Health Fund and Generosity Water.

When it comes to Hollywood, Jennifer Aniston is as “a-list” as it gets. After getting her start as a key character on the popular sitcom Friends, Aniston has become an international icon. Despite it being her very first major gig, Aniston received praise for her performance and her character was recognized as one of the greatest on US television. Since then, she went on to star in some of Hollywood’s greatest hits and reaped piles of success, awards, and – of course – money. Today, the actress has an estimated net worth of approximately $150 million.

Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, California to a family of actors. Her father is best known for his role on NBC’s Days of Our Lives. Despite his television career, Jennifer was oddly discouraged from watching TV as a kid. This is quite funny considering she would go on to star in one of the most popular television series to date.

Her career didn’t start in television, though. As a teen, Aniston starred in a number of Off-Broadway productions, while at the same time working a few side jobs to earn a living wage.

When she was about 20, she moved to Los Angeles – where she began to seek out acting opportunities. She got her first break in 1990 after being cast as a regular on Molloy. If you don’t recognize the series, don’t worry – you’re not alone. Only seven episodes were aired before the show was canceled.

Young Aniston went on to star in three more failed television shows, and at this point, she was starting to question her acting career. She was thinking about quitting, and shared her uncertainties with Warren Littlefield – an NBC executive that she worked with on some of the unsuccessful shows.

Littlefield encouraged her to keep her head up and insisted that she continue acting. In 1994 he helped her cast for the role of Rachel on Friends, and the rest is history. The show obviously took off, and Aniston’s career was on an upward trajectory. Since then, she left television and now frequents the big screen.

Her hard work clearly ended up paying off, considering that the actress is now worth a cool $150 million.

Aniston owns at least three real estate properties, but her primary residence is a mansion in Bel Air. The 8,500 square foot gem sits in the middle of 3.5 acres of well-maintained greenery and features 4 rooms and 6 bathrooms. The property also houses a vineyard, a wine cellar, a swimming pool, a rooftop patio, and more living space than you can imagine.

When she’s not in Bel Air she spends a bit of time in her stunning New York apartment. The $9 million Gramercy Park abode stretches over nearly 3,000 square feet and three spacious bedrooms. The master suite shows off a beautiful view of Gramercy Park through the large floor to ceiling windows.

When it comes to cars, Jennifer is a simple woman. Although she can afford to drive any car on the market, the actress chooses to cruise around in either a Range Rover or a Toyota Prius.

As you can tell, Aniston isn’t much for showing off. She doesn’t really make extravagant purchases and instead puts a fair bit of her income towards charitable causes. She supports nearly two dozen charities, including Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Lupus LA, and others.

The actress is incredibly generous, and in 2010 she donated $500,000 towards Haiti relief and later helped “Hope for Haiti Now” raise over $58 million. Additionally, Aniston helped numerous other nonprofits raise awareness through various advertising campaigns. If you recall, she used to be the face of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital back in 2008, an organization that she continues to support.

Regardless of what generation you are a part of, you probably know at least a little bit about the pop sensation that is Britney Spears. Although she is not nearly as popular today as she was in her prime, Spears remains beloved by millions. She first captured the spotlight in the late 1990s with the release of some of the hottest songs of the decade. She quickly gained a mass following and became an international sensation. Her success as a singer also helped the star amass an impressive $200 million net worth.

Before Spears would go on to become one of the highest earning female musicians of all time, she was just a little girl in small town McComb, Mississippi. Like the vast majority of other uber successful entertainers, Spears started practicing her craft at a very young age.

When she was just three years old she was already taking dance lessons and performing at music recitals. She made her stage debut at just five years old, performing What Child is This? at her kindergarten graduation.

Shortly after, Britney and her mother moved to Manhattan where she would audition for minor roles. She had a fairly decent career as a child actor, but nothing that would have made her as filthy rich as she is today. Fortunately, she was picked up by Jive Records in 1997 and her career started to skyrocket.

Spears released her first studio album in 1999, which debut at the top of BIllboard 100 chart. Keep in mind she was still just 18, and selling 500,000 copies in one day was unheard of. A year later she released Oops!… I Did It Again, which also received international praise.

By the time she was 20, Spears had already cemented her name among some of the best selling musicians to have ever lived. And despite her much publicized personal issues, Britney was quickly becoming a pop icon.

Although she remains active today, her music career isn’t exactly what it once was. That said, every time she puts out a new album (or single) it does incredibly well in the charts – mostly because of her status in the industry. Aside from music, endorsement deals and merchandise earnings make up a significant portion of her sizable nest egg.

Today, the entertainer lives in her beautiful Beverly Hills home. She purchased the 7,500 square foot mansion for $6.75 million back in 2007. The house features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a lot of open space. The kitchen, complete with Viking appliances and marble detailing, is every cook’s dream. The property also houses an elegant swimming pool, highlighted by immaculately maintained greenery.

As impressive as the Beverly Hills house might be, it pales in comparison to her LA abode. This house is a lot bigger (8,500 square feet vs 7,500), and also quite a bit more expensive. The singer dropped close to $9 million for it, and we can see why. The villa houses five bedrooms (including a monstrous master suite), a giant living room, seven bathrooms, and a modern kitchen. Outside, you’ll find a large infinity swimming pool overlooking a beautiful landscape.

To much surprise, Spears turned out to be a massive car fanatic. She owns at least 9 luxe vehicles including a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Audi R8, a Maserati GranTurismo, a Mercedes SLK 350, Jaguar XKS, and a few others.

Aside from spending some of her hard earned money on herself, Spears is quite the philanthropist at heart. She has an undeniable love for kids, which is evident through her support of numerous children’s charities. She regularly donates thousands of dollars to the Kids Wish Network, the Red Cross, Elevate Hope Foundation, and nearly a dozen others.
